The Windows vs Linux versions are incompatible now. Linux and Mac moved on to 2.x, while Windows is still 1.x. They encrypt files in different ways. If you need to retrieve the files I recommend using the Windows version again and decrypt.
I think I'll remove the Windows version as it's unmaintained and to prevent future troubles.
@hbons what about my case? I initially uploaded my files with Ubuntu on my github repo (don't remember which version I used). If I clone manually they are all encrypted. Can I recover this from SparkleShare Mac?
@hbons -- thanks for the commentary and this wonderful piece of technology!
I'm using Fedora 35 to Fedora 35 and I'm not getting a request to decrypt on my end either, so the sync is working great, but it's not clear to me how I signal that I want to decrypt. Does this have something to do with using Gnome Wayland and AppIcons generally being invisible (note: I've used a gnome extension to theoretically expose them, but it's possible something is missing).
At any rate, any guidance (or pointers for further reading) appreciated!
Hello, I created an encrypted folder on my server:
I added it on my windows machine, I get ask for a password and I set it and uploaded files. On my Fedora machine I install SparkleShare with Flathub. I added again in the client the folder. No ask for password. All files downloaded but encrypted. How can I access my files?
