@fsteeg Sure. https://lobid.org/gnd/10360484-4 https://scholia.toolforge.org/venue/Q98093643 are the proceedings of ISWC 2008 which should be linked to the event https://scholia.toolforge.org/event/Q48026643 (which seems to have no record in GND) which is part of the series https://scholia.toolforge.org/event-series/Q6053150 which links to https://d-nb.info/gnd/1092290281

The links from https://d-nb.info/gnd/1092290281 to https://lobid.org/gnd/10360484-4 and back are what i am looking for and I fear it is a gap in the ontology since i couldn't find the links in the SPARQL RDF dump that we downloaded for http://jena.wikidata.dbis.rwth-aachen.de/gnd . Please send me a personal mail if you'd like to tryout the endpoint yourself because for queries you'll need username/password.

Thanks for the details. Some information that actually is in the GND is not in the RDF yet but I am afraid that the problem is bigger in this case. Taking a look at the MARC records for 1092290281 and 10360484-4 I see no relation between the entries. So, this means somebody would has to add the relations in the first place (for all GND conferences and their renditions) before we can include them in lobid.

If you are interested, I could find out from a GND editor whether the relation could at least be added in principle, i.e. whether the format and the cataloging rules are designed for this.

@acka47 - your answer is actually good news because i am considering event series completion as a very relevant research topic that i am currently working on for my PhD and the above statement would underline this. I might actually be in the position to supply the data with algorithms we are working on. It would be great to get an official DNB contact for this work.

Not very often the bad news turn out to be good news. :-) It would be great if you could update GND with those links. (I am sure there is a way to put this information into MARC.) Super. Danke, für's auf dem Laufenden halten. Es gibt übrigens auch ein DNB Jira (https://jira.dnb.de/), für das ich einen Login habe und wo natürlich auch die DNB-Kolleg:innen sind. Falls es konkrete Dinge zu tun gibt (z.B. muss doch die GND-Ontologie erweiter werden, wenn ich das richtig sehe), wäre es m.E. sinnvoll, das dort zu tracken. Vielleicht können Sie ja auch einen Login bekommen...
