OER Market Place #1211

Hugh McGuire from Rebus Community asked me if we could help finding volunteers for the production of books. He seemed to be specially interested in scientists working in the field of the book, e.g. for writing and peer review.

Out of this request, following idea developed:

  1. All data types (organisations, projects, events...) can publish a "looking for" note on their profile
  2. These notes are collected in one site on the map, which we can name "OER Market Place" or "Open Sharing Market" (Name TBD)
  3. The Open Sharing Market site should be embedded in as many educational sites as possible. For example the Market could be embedded in all Member sites of the OE Consortium.

If it works out, the Market Place will provide value to OER Actors of all kind. Especially attactive is top 3, since this will make a connection between the OER community and the educational mainstream.
