NOVA is a tool for annotating and analyzing behaviours in social interactions. It supports Annotators using Machine Learning already during the coding process. Further it features both, discrete labels and continuous scores and a visuzalization of streams recorded with the SSI Framework.
We found that the recommended "K-lite codec" software to enable using video files in NOVA included "infatica" software.
This software allows malicious attackers to enter your computer silently.
It might be there is a small tick box to disable this installation but I think it is better not to recommend to use "K-lite codec", potentially increases security risk.
Is it possible to update the recommended software in the readme.md with other solutions?
