face to gif doesnt work with PS3 webcam and CL-Eye Drivers. #5

Hi, as title says, i cant get my PS3 Webcam to work. I installed the latest CL-Eye drivers. It seams like chrome doesnt recognize the camera in the Meda Section of properties. Any ideas?

Oh, wow. This one will be a bit tricky to debug but I'll figure something out.

@dudeins to be clear, is this Chrome running on a PlayStation3 or just the Eye hooked up to your computer?

If it's the latter, I assume it works fine for other applications like, say, Skype.

The Eye is connected to my PC. I havent tried running it with Skype, i just used it through Hangouts in Google+, which worked just fine.

It's weird that Chrome wouldn't display it as a valid source. I'll have some more experiments with external webcams as soon as I can get my hands on some.

I'm very sorry, but I could not reproduce this. It would probably be different with the Eye, but I didn't manage to get ahold of one just yet.

@dudeins just to make sure, you do know how to change the selected camera in Chrome, right? Firefox has a way better UI in this respect, but with Chrome, you need to allow access, select source then reload the feed.

(This is still bugging me)

Allow Access of course on the left side when i click on "Put your face here" and then on the right side in the adress bar there is a little camera which i can click on. When i do this, i can only select the microphone of the PS3 webcam but not the video input. In the box camera there is just "none available".
