Dear users,

I want to take a moment to announce that I will be discontinuing the development of this Obsidian plugin, and I will also be archiving this repository.

Currently, I am unable to dedicate enough time to the development of this plugin, and I expect this situation to continue for the foreseeable future. Additionally, I have decided to abandon my attempts to build a PKM (Personal Knowledge Management) system using Obsidian and have started using other products that offer a better overall experience.

I apologize for the delay in this announcement, as there was a possibility that I might return to Obsidian in the future.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who have used this plugin and provided valuable feedback. Your support has meant a lot to me, and I truly appreciate the community that has formed around this plugin.

For those who resonate with this plugin and wish to continue using it, you are welcome to fork the repository and adapt it for your own needs.

Hi, I'm the author of Vertical Tabs for Obsidian. Your work has inspired me to develop a new tab manager from ground up. Although Vertical Tabs is not a fork of hdykokd/obsidian-vertical-tabs-view, the design and feedback gave me valuable help for understanding the users' demands. I feel I owe you (@hdykokd) a personal "thank you".

I'm actively maintaining Vertical Tabs. It provides richer functionalities such as bookmarking, tab grouping, focus mode, etc. More importantly, I have addressed many issues posted in this repo, such as,

For users who want to switch to Vertical Tabs as an alternative, please uninstall this plugin and relaunch Obsidian before installing the new one.
