Issue
The purple color palette in the index builder was at times difficult to interpret within co-design workshops. Does darker/lighter purple equate "better" or "worse" values? What do those values mean, etc?
Rationale
Use a diverging color palette, where the average value of the index is a lighter color, higher values corresponding to higher vulnerability are red, and lower values corresponding to less vulnerability are blue. This way the directionality and interpretation of palette are easier to discern.
Additional context
Color palette discussed within UIUC team, and proposal shared with DePaul team. Good to go.
