@EndersLegacy Could not replicate on my end. Can you send exact steps to repeat this error?
Load two or three profiles in window; wait about forty minutes while doing other things. Usually it's a discon from Flist end and the characters all discon, try to reconnect several times before one of them does that 'too many connections' error. Once it happens the first time, they tend to take turns doing until I restart the app entirely.
It was the odd timing and all characters being kicked that made me think it was a router issue so I've been logging net speeds and connections;
I'm running a 80mps Ethernet with Cat9 cables; and I've not seen this problem on my old laptop with wifi, though, I rarely have more than a single character in chat on that system. (and yes, I've made sure it's completely powered down so no extra chat logins from there) I've shut down my wifi as well to be sure someone's not on that, yet still, this issue. It seems to be worse if ads are running or if i'm editing a profile on a browser window, though, I've not specifically tracked that.
Update: after a lot of playing around with it the last day or so, I can say it only happens with three active profiles, and when at least two of them are running ads. BUT once it happens, closing the app entirely seems to be the only way to 'reset' it.
OK so, I did some digging and found something odd (that I forgot to capture width an image) BUT windows firewall was interfering with F-chat's ability to connect to the net with it. Every time it tried to connect with the server it was getting delayed by the firewall's query. I think, somehow, this was causing a delay where in the chat would ping the server multiple times as it tried to 'catch up' as it were. I manually made exemptions in DoS Firewall for Fchat and it's been fine. So, TLDR, purge windows firewall settings and allowances and then made sure Fchat had free clearance once it came back up.
OK so, it's doing it again; i'd taken a break for the mostpart the last week. Now enclosing grab of the console after it disconnects with the 'too many connections from IP' error. I have also now noted that I can still be PMed while it's disconnected. Is this perhaps a 'false' disconnect whereby it's just showing the too many connections. Again, the only thing I do is have three characters connected at once. I will add that I DO watch vids and have profiles open in Firefox for editing. .
Having an issue where there seems to be some odd delay from Rising where it sends too many handshakes; I would guess what i recall about how things work is so out of date. I thought it was my modem but repeated checks and reboots using another system the same error cropped up where having three characters would cause one to be randomly kicked for too many connections from IP address and keep blocking until I've closed the app entirely. Update: used the browser versions of 3.0 and 2.0 with no issues; tried Rising on secondary device, same issue.
