  1. Ampersands need to be encoded properly, see thomas's website on how to do that (isn't recognized as a character)
  2. in portfolio layout - you don't need ymal, it IS a layout screen shot 2015-10-22 at 7 40 28 pm
  3. your .md file is incorrectly formatted, check on how to write in markup from a few weeks ago this is giving you jekyll errors
  4. you actually aren't linking your portfolio-layout page to your work page -

on your portfolio-layout.html you need a {{content}} in order for jekyll to use it

  1. you have an extra slash {{site.baseurl}}/work/ <-- the last slash isnt needed
  2. the portfolio layout - is it different from the default layout? it also needs the same stuff in it as the default one!
  3. delete these lines - they aren't doing anything screen shot 2015-10-22 at 8 01 02 pm
