@jp-harvey could you enable edits on this PR? I have a few fixes to add for 5.5 compatibility.

@jp-harvey we currently have an issue where the tests suite is not running against PRs made from external forks. In the interest of getting this merged in, I will open a duplicate PR and close this one.
