Add Google Music entries to the web UI #32

At the moment the Google plugin doesn't appear in the mediaserver's web UI (and by extension in controller apps such as Squeezer for Android, I'm guessing). I end using the GM web interface to search and then go to Recent Searches on the SB to start playing, which is less than ideal.

Given how awkward it is to operate Google Music (search in particular) via the SB3/Boom interface it would be fantastic if this could be done via the the web UI/apps.

I must admit that I really don't get your point. First of all we should compare our setups. I'm using the Logitech Media Server Version 7.4 and (7.3). I'm running the server on a Linux host.

I can access the Google Music plugin through the Web Interface of the server which is normally accessible throug http://yourServer:9000/. The Plugin is located under "My Apps"->"Google Music". Using the official Squeezebox Android App it's the same.

I know it is not accessible through the Android Squeezer because it does not support "My Apps". The same applies for the Spotify Plugin and some others.

Could you please provide a server log? Maybe we will find the culprit there.

What do you mean by "GM web interface"?

Just another note. I know that there are people out there using the plugin on Logitech Squeezeboxes. They seem to be all satisfied with the plugin.

Ah, OK - for me Google Music (GM - sorry for the acronym :) doesn't appear in My Apps in the web UI. All I have in there is App Gallery. I had to manually add Google Music to the top level menu for the players.

BBC iplayer/iplayer extras aren't in there either (they appear in a top level menu entry). Clearly there is something wonky on my side (this btw is on 7.7.3).

I had a look through the logs and couldn't see anything relevant. I'll restart and see if

Interestingly enough the iplayer (by triode) menus do appear in Squeezer.

Once I get the web interface problem sorted and radio create/delete support goes in this plugin will be even more awesome!

Are you running Linux?

Typically enough I just tried linking the server to mysqueezebox.com (I've had no need for it before) and of course it all now works as it should. I'm closing this case with root cause of "Idiot user" :) Thanks for the plugin and keep up the great work!
