Reference issue #186 this is already reported.

also when it does eventually hit Cain trying to res merc as he walks by, there is another bug where if you haven’t done the forge, the soul stone in your bags causes the bot to hit escape on repeat and bug out.

what? @divineblade7 how can I reproduce this?

On a character that doesnt have the hellforge quest completed, If you try to resurrect a merc at tyrael and it has trouble cause of his weird hitbox it will instead talk to cain if he is close enough. And once the soulstone from cain is in your bags it tries to deposit it to bank and cannot then presses escape and brings up the game exit menu and stays in place.

If i manually hit escape again to try and get it to continue it will try to deposit again and do the same thing and press escape and get stuck on exit menu again. Ill try to recreate once back home and get some logs from it.

Oh its reading it as stash is completely full, logs are showing thats its trying to stash and it cant deposit it. so its exiting bank and then hitting escape again stopping on the game menu.

Its worth noting that will happen if it cant deposit in the person stash due to either setting or its full.
