I've tried every method I could find to get access to my iPhone. I must be
missing
something...The error msg I get from iPhoneBrowser is "Cannot find
path /Library/Ringtones. Have you successfully used jailbreak?"

You need to add the afc2 service. Search modmyifone.com/forums for instructions.

Thanks! The set of instructions I have seen on modmyifone.com say that I need
to
download a services.plist file. Do you know where I can get this? Also, there
is
no services.plist file currently in the Library/Lockdown directory, as I
verified
using MobileFinder on my iphone.

You are looking in the wrong Library/Lockdown folder - you need to enable System
Access in MobileFinder to see the proper /System/Library/Lockdown folder.

See the File Mod section for an afc2 sticky post with more details.

Also, jailbreakme.com now has afc2 installation, so it isn't a problem for
newer users.

The forum is in here http://www.modmyifone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11945
you can download the services.plist from there

followed these instructions.
Open Iphonebrowser
U will see the four folders
Add a Documents folder
Add the downloaded services.plist to Documents folder
Exit iphonebrowser
Make sure you have MobileFinder downloaded to your iPhone use Installer to get
it.
Open Finder
Goto top right corner and click on ~ button
You should see Documents Folder (note: mine was in ~media)
Open it and Copy Services.plist
Goto /System/Library/Lockdown/
paste Services.plist there
Reboot Iphone
Open Iphonebrowser
You should have full access to system files now on your iPhone.

Note: U should backup your existing Services.plist
I just renamed the orginal one to ServicesB.plist

Hope this helps. = )
Digg

worked perfectly for me.
p.s. i attached the services.plist that was in the forum
