Raymond's Raving Rabbids does not work #248

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to play Raymond's Raving Rabbids (not one of the sequels, NTSC-U)
2. Flash of green
3. Black screen, no errors

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game worked in RC6. Game does not work in RC7

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RC7. 4.0U, cIOS rev13

Please provide any additional information below.
I do believe it worked with cIOS rev13 in RC6 but it is possible that I did
not try it after upgrading to rev13.

Just downgraded to rev10, still does not work, now will try the new version of
RC7,
to see if that one works.

Just tried the "hotfix" still doesn't load Raving Rabbids, will have to try
SD/USB
Loader 1.5 to make sure my WBFS isn't some how corrupted. So far, RC7 is
AWESOME
except for the part about loading games.

RC6 cIOS rev13a can play Ghostbusters and Raving Rabbids
RC7 cIOS rev10 gets to the first safety screen in Ghostbusters, no further
RC7 cIOS rev10 gives you a black screen for Raving Rabbids after a flash of
green
RC7 hotfix cIOS rev10 gives you a green screen for Ghostbusters
RC7 hotfix cIOS rev10 gives you a black screen for Raving Rabbids after a flash
of green

Just in case this might be useful to someone.

In case anyone cares, RC6 w/rev13a plays all of my games except Gold's Gym. RC7
w/rev13a plays Gold's Gym. Although, maybe I need to somehow uninstall rev13
(IOS249) for RC7 to work better, I don't know.

F1SHE4RS - I have never tried rev13b, does rev13b introduce any problems when
using
RC7.1? Or does it load all of your games? Mabye that is my problem, most of my
games
don't work now but I never thought to try rev13b.

FYI - TO ALL - just heads up, the 1000s of complaints, comments, and issues
about my
games that quit working between RC6 and RC7 - turns out that my WBFS became
corrupt
some how so that some of the games kept working and some of the games quit
working.
I deleted the games that quit working, backed them up again, and now ALL of my
games
work using 1.0 and rev 13a. So, virtually any issue about games not working
started
by crash.test.donkey can be closed except maybe where other people have added
comments describing the same issue. I haven't gone back to all of my issues to
see if
they are all closed yet, but anyone wishing to clean out issues, can review my
issues
about games not working, and there is a good bet that you can close those
issues if
you haven't already.
