I downloaded the latest version, but can not be used on IE6, and resulted
in suspended animation browser. To provide you with the code to run it, why
not?

The version of WMD being hosted on github
(http://github.com/derobins/wmd/tree/master) works fine on IE6.

Keep in mind that the WMD options will be broken until v2.1, to be released in
mid-Feb. 2009.
