Cannot transfer files to Phone

What steps will reproduce the problem? Please include as much detail as
possible.
1. Setup to allow connections from Wifi | folder: /sdcard/ftp/
2. Start SwiFTP server
3. Use Filezilla to connect; can see directory contents
4. Attempt to transfer file to phone

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?
expected: successful file transfer
result:
5. Response: 550 Invalid name or chroot violation
6. Error: Critical error

What version of SwiFTP are you using?
v1.24

What operating system are you using?
2.2 (CyanogenMod)

Which FTP client are you using?
FileZilla

Which Android device and version do you have (Nexus, Droid, Hero, G1,
etc.)?
Samsung Galaxy Spica

I can't upload or download files

HTC desire HD android 2.2
Mac OSX 10.6.5
Transmit 4 ftp client

it seems i have any permissions. 160 error.
140 error when i try to make a folder
