Would you happen to have a patch for the English version of the game? I love this hack, but at the same time I'd like to know whats going on in the game, I understand people use the Japanese version cause it's faster and in some cases has better "glitches". But would you be interested in making another version in english? better yet, if you could somehow make the game choose what language you want. lol. better not push my luck ... haha.

also how much of the code is changed? could I somehow edit an English patch to overlay it with the Japanese game patched with your mod?

Sorry, no I don't have a patch for the English version of the game. As you say, the Japanese version is what everyone uses, and I think my time is better spent implementing features that would benefit everyone.

The JP and non-JP ROMs are a little bit different. Enough different that you would have to translate the address of a lot of hooks from the JP rom to an English ROM. So It's not possible to just apply a patch over the US1.1 ROM for example, you would have to change the patch to match the code/data layout of that ROM.
