Data packet transfer is not using preferred Hotspot #1274

Please describe your issue:

I am experiencing an issue where I was directly nearby my hotspot with strong coverage and still other hotspots where chose. for data transfer instead of mine. I set the preferred flag and it still chose others. How can this be? Am I doing something wrong here?

I have the same problem. Were you able to find a solution for this?
