Optimize data usage #237

on preview18:

Data usage is pretty high, I had it running for 6 hours now and it already used 1.6 MB of data with hourly publication interval:

There were quite a few crashes, so this may have caused the high data usage.

Did another test today.

Usage was around 200 KB / Hour. But with frequent reboots.
