GeForce RTX 3070 and other Starship/Matisse GPUs not autodetected

@czanik can you please test the following:

• As root, edit /etc/initgfx_device.db: Add GeForce RTX 3070 to the nvidia_latest_ids section
• If the file exists, sudo rm /var/initgfx_config.id
• Reboot
• Check /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.xonf.d/00-video.initgfx.conf, it should no longer contain scfb

@probonopd Well, no luck. It seems that the file is not persisted between reboots. I save the file, verify it, reboot the box, and when I check the content of the file after reboot, my modification is no more there.

Are you running the Live ISO or a system installed to disk? (The instructions above assume a system installed to disk.)

In /etc/initgfx_device.db? Now that would be strange.

Do not edit /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.xonf.d/00-video.initgfx.conf directly, as it is supposed to be overwritten by initgfx.

I only have the Live version. AFAIR installation wants to use the whole hard drive, and there I have a production Windows, Linux and FreeBSD installation.

Thanks, worked perfectly well. Tested with a 4K video on youtube and the 3D part with some WebGL demos.
