Can you add the printer in http://localhost:631/admin, by clicking on "Add printer" and adding a local HPLIP printer?
That model doesn't have internet printing function, only USB connection.
Yes. USB printers possibly need to be set up in CUPS in that way.
Is there a way to make it plug and play, this is too much trouble. Moreover, CUPS does not have a search option on the hardware selection list, and it is very tiring to search line by line.
First step is to make it work at all. Does it work like this?
It doesn't respond when I press the "Apply" button here.
Maybe you need to use System -> Applications -> Preferences -> Print Settings
I tried it, it didn't work.
Does your printer work on e.g., GhostBSD?
Is working.
Plug and play, no configuration required.
Can you find out why it works there but not here? Do they ship additional packages related to that printer? Do they run additional processes?
Tell me how to check.
Again the question, can you add the printer in http://localhost:631/admin, by clicking on "Add printer" ?
it works and can go next.
OK, great. Then we can remove the Gtk based application and link to that web page instead.
Just one thing, on GhostBSD, if you use your link, you will end up with an error, you can only use the detect hardware option from the menu to be fine.
Just to be extra sure: On helloSystem can you add the printer in http://localhost:631/admin, by clicking on "Add printer" and it works?
I can only confirm that it is still stuck on this problem in the Hello system. https://github.com/helloSystem/ISO/issues/460
And ghostbsd is successfully adding the printer with the URL, but there is an error notification after adding the printer with the URL.
I have an HP Deskjet 1010 printer and when I try to print a document, the system does not show any printers on it.
