hello text Visual suggestion

probonopd commented 3 years ago

Agree @louies0623. I've been assuming that it may have to do with https://github.com/ArtifexSoftware/urw-base35-fonts/issues/25. Why did you close the issue?

louies0623 commented 3 years ago

Can you update the new version of the font to the system? Check if it is corrected.

probonopd commented 3 years ago

Which "the new version of the font"?

Every ISO build uses the latest version from https://github.com/ArtifexSoftware/urw-base35-fonts/releases. I can't see a newer one there.

The font hasn’t been updated for a long time, it’s time to replace the font, otherwise waiting for the font to be updated is not an option.

In addition, it displays the WIFI name in UTF-8-encoded eg [\xE7\x84\xA1\xE7\xB7\x9A\xE7\xB6\xB2\xE8\xB7\xAF] instead of UTF-8- decoded [無線網路 (Wireless Network)] is displayed.

Would TeX Gyre Heros work better? TeX Gyre Heros is based on the URW Nimbus Sans L kindly released by URW++ Design and Development Inc.
