Same Problem Fixed ,
after enabling Total Commander to pass firewall
for destination IP 127.0.0.1 (loopback) !!!!

This does not apply to my case, i think.
I've tried turning off the firewall before launching Total Commander, and
always got that damn "Missing library" window.
Please, may you post the exact procedure you followed?

It seems like your Windows does not allow t-pot to write into the registry (see
CiPoTApi::AttachDLL()). Try to run Total Commander as Administrator. This
should solve the problem.

I arrived here by searching "could not load itunesmobiledevice.dll".
I'm using itune10, win7, 64bit.
There is no problem when I'm using itune9, winVista, 32bit.
The file can be found at my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile
Device Support" and the problem is solved by run total commander as
administrator.

It helped for me:
1) Disable real time protection in Microsoft Security Essentials (so may be
will work with other antivirus applications)
2) Start Total Commander as administrator
after that you can start TC normally, should work

On Windows 7 64 bits, Itunes 10.5, same error message. None of the proposed
fixes worked.Any other idea?

Just an idea, but I haven't tried it, nor am I in a condition dto do that
(Itunes is installed in both my PC and laptop...).
It COULD be that the dll is present in the disk, but NOT REGISTERED into
Windows, so it could be worth to give a try to this:
- Go to the folder where the dll is (usually: c:\Program Files\Common
Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\)
- In TC Command line :-) type: Regsvr32 iTunesMobileDevice.dll
The above command works for 32-bit systems, if you have a 64-bit OS, there is a
little additional stuff to do, I won't explain here, since Microsoft already
did it: just check this link: <a href
"http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282747/en">http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2827
47/en</a>

Nope... Tried with a new PC, installed Itunes drivers with CopyTrans Driver
Installer: same error.
Regsvr32 had no effect, (Cannot access file or something similar).
Think the only working solution is to install Itunes... :-/

The solution is in installing the Quick Time.
I was surprised that it is necessary for correct T-Pot work.
The steps i've done to make it work:
1. Installed latest iTunes (optional)
2. Installed latest Quick Time via Apple updater.
3. Opened Total Commander as Admin and installed t-pot
4. Opened T-Pot
My platform: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64

It seems to be a good solution, but it does not seem to fix the problem WITHOUT
installing iTunes.
Did anyone get T-Pot working just (re)installing Quicktime without iTunes
present in the computer?
<quote: my first post, Nov 18, 2010>
Since I'm not a fan of iTunes and I have reformatted my PC recently, I decided
not to install that piece of crap (I already have it on my laptop PC) and to
manage my iPod with alternative software (CopyTrans Manager).
iTunes drivers have been installed by CopyTrans Driver installer
(http://download.cnet.com/CopyTrans-Drivers-Installer/3000-18546_4-11594128.html
), by extracting required items from a newly downloaded iTunes package.
So, iTunesMobileDevice.dll is already in place (folder: c:\Programmi\File
comuni\Apple\Mobile Device Support\iTunesMobileDevice.dll, which in english
editions should sound like: c:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device
Support\iTunesMobileDevice.dll) together with other Apple stuff.
<end quote>
In the meanwhile, I replaced my old computer with another which is much more
powerful (core I7-980): Same problem (see my post on October 21).
Unfortunately, needing to access my iPod Touch, I surrendered and installed
iTunes there too: I don't think this computer will suffer that much due to the
presence of Apple software, but definitely I will try again to avoid it, in
case i have to reformat.
Of course, I would greatly prefer not to install neither iTunes nor QuickTime
(we like iPod, not Apple :-p)!
Best Regards & Happy 2012,

Quicktime does the trick.
Maybe QT registers some dll which tPot relays on... I wonder which could it be

Try uninstalling QuickTime and installing Quick Alternative.
I had Itunes with QuickTime up to date, but still when I installed TC and t-pot
I received this error. I uninstalled QuickTime, downloaded Quick Alternative
and suprise- it works.

1. Uninstall all Apple software from your pc.
2. Remove any remaining files and folders application.
3. Clean out registry. I used CCleaner.

I can finally confirm that installing Quicktime solves the problem. I
reproduced the situation today, and solved it, in my new Laptop.
For those people who -like me- don't like to install lots of Apple stuff, here
are the steps allowing to use t-pot without problems:
1) Download iTunes from Apple site. Make sure you pick the correct version
32/64 bits; save it to any folder you like (i.e. d:\iTunes).
If you own a not recent iDevice (or it's running an old iOS) and you are not
wanting to install the latest iTunes version, you can look for the older ones
in OldApps repositories (=> http://www.oldapps.com/itunes.php).
DON'T START iTUNES INSTALLATION!
2) Download QuickTime package from Apple site (yes, they have a stand-alone
Quicktime-only installation package, too):
http://www.apple.com/it/quicktime/download/ . Save it to the same folder as
before.
3) Download CopyTrans Driver Installer from here:
http://www.copytrans.net/support/install-iphone-ipod-touch-and-ipad-drivers-with
out-installing-itunes/ .
You can save to the same folder where you put iTunes and QuickTime package
4) Unzip and Run CopyTrans Driver Installer (or just double-click the archive
in Total Commander and run it using your TC-Power :-) ).
In the Welcome screen of the Installer, click Manual Install and select the
iTunes package you got in Step 1 (yes, with Automatic Installation, it can
automatically get the most recent iTunes version from Apple site, but sometimes
this does not work well -i.e. if you are connecting through a proxy- so the
manual procedure is more reliable)
5) Let CopyTrans Driver Installer do all the dirty work for you. Once it's finished, if your iDevice is already attached, it should be recognized (=> you get notifications in the Tray bar).
6) When it finishes, install QuickTime package (just the default options, no particular configuration is required)
7) Close all the open instances of Total Commander, start a new one and open the t-Pot plugin.
Enjoy! :-)

Max - Italy
