Nice one mate. I like to use zero tier for my network. Tail scale also looks pretty promising but I am yet to try it.

oh, yes, I am looking forward for tailscale to reach maturity. Their promise is very compelling

Zero Tier is another great solution, would like to hear more about how you use it in your lab environment :D

I bet every one of you was in a situation when you bloody needed to expose some local resource over internet. Letting a remote colleague to look at your work, delivering a demo being off-VPN, or any other reason to have your service be reachable over Internet.
