if you actually wrote real commit messages, I might actually know why all the fonts were removed in this commit

Fonts are currently being discussed in issue #13.

The basic premise is that an issue was raised regarding the fonts as they were making it hard to package for distros. We found that there were a lot of fonts that were unused, left over from old versions, or only used in one mode. Cutting down the number of fonts used should make it easier for distros like Fedora, which have specific font packaging requirements, to package the application.

my complaint isn't about the removal of fonts, but of unclear commit messages which add give no information

Okay, will add more info on next commits. I know there has been a bit of laziness on my part.
