This is just something new that i'm doing ^^ (got a little of free time and i feel i should do this) Captura de tela de 2013-01-12 12:27:57

The cool thing here is that the logo is inside the monitor, the new conkycolors font also contain all fonts i have added to the poky font (yes, it's a modified font).

I still need to finish some icons, but i think the most important are all here. I will try to work on this this evening.

LOL! I actually started trying this with FontForge the other week, but didn't get very far. I took the networking icons (up/down arrow and globe symbol) and the thermometer from weather.ttf IIRC.

I was looking for a warning sign (triangle with exclamation mark in it) to replace the skull and cross bones when a feature is unavailable. Found a few but they didn't really fit the rest of the icons. Since then I haven't got any further, been trying to port toluapp to work with Lua 5.2

If the new font is merged in, I think we should consider closing #13.

Finished the network icons, added the warning sign and many more. (try yourself, i think its MUCH better now) When i complete the set of icons, i will close the bug #13 ^^ (finally) 3

I've commented on a couple of lines in the recent commits, but I don't see how you would get a notification that a comment is there.

Anyway, the Ubuntu/Debian distro question for ubuntufix is currently "Liberation Sans/Ubuntu"...replace all I'm guessing. Secondly, there is a small use of Arial in calendar, if we can drop that, we can drop ms-fonts IIRC.

No more need of any microsoft font, also removed the "clocks pointers" options and fonts. Maybe i can replace those clocks with some cairo alternative later (better and a clean alternative with no need of any extra font).

I will think about the liberation/ubuntu font later.

android-808 commented 11 years ago

long day at work so i haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

android-808 commented 11 years ago

did you get any further with this? I've been really busy with other projects lately so I haven't even got round to checking it out yet.

helmuthdu commented 11 years ago

Just need close the weather icons, but it's almost done.

android-808 commented 11 years ago

ok. will need to adjust weather script for new glyph offset. if you can put them in order as defined by the yahoo api it makes it easier. then we can drop the conversion table i'm currently using.

helmuthdu commented 11 years ago

I used the same order from the ConkyWeather font... in any case you would have to create a script to translate de number value into a letter. I think its done, i added this font in the last commit, but still missing 4 icons...
