Empty saved file, able to retrieve if I use "recent documents" option, image links lost #462

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a new file, add some stuff, save
2. Open file, file is empty as if nothing was created
3. Menu > Document > Recent Documents > click on the document saved
4. File opens with content, but image links are completely lost

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see content as saved when I closed the file, when I try to reopen 
the file its empty.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.3.4 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
