This feature should allow the specification of rotated text in degrees.

It would also be nice to have the text at a static size. In other words, a
text entity that does not resize, no matter what the zoom scale is

There are currently no known workarounds.

I agree completely.  This is similar to the enhancement I requested which is 
Issue 
270.  The only work around is to create a image overlay with your text.  I 
included 
a sample kml in which I did just that - it is a real pain in the butt.

Yes this would be pretty helpful..especially with the current project I'm 
working on. I'm surprised after 2 years it still hasn't been done.
