Only specify top-level packages
Update dependencies to latest bugfix version

Nice work, thanks a lot for the PR! 😄

I just got round to it and ran the checks. I'm not quite sure why one of the tests is failing. I suspect it's because an update to one of the dependencies. I remember seeing a warning a while ago - something about the 'providing_args' arg being deprecated so it's probably that. I'm currently quite busy tho so will take a closer look when I have some more time.
