Okay, this might sound out of scope but hear me out: boum should offer a way to set alarms to play music at certain times.
Alarm apps are boring. My main problem with them is they only play a single alarm tone per alarm, and the selection of sounds is usually pretty generic. If boum offered a feature to let you play music at certain times, that would make waking up in the morning a more enjoyable experience. Imagine waking up bumpin' to your favorite tunes! That would be such a great way to start the day! The best part is because boum has access to your entire jellyfin music library, it could switch up the songs it plays so you don't get sick of waking up to the same track.
For how this would work, I'm thinking there would be a screen similar to the stock android alarm app that would let you set when at least one alarm should go off, a playlist/song/album/mix it should play, a volume to start playing at, and whether it should play on shuffle or not. When the alarm goes off, boum should play the music source at the set volume level. If the jellyfin server can't be reached, a basic fallback sound or a downloaded song should probably be played, but that's a low priority for this feature request.
