OS 3.9 + HSTwb #26

So, I'm hitting a wall. I want OS 3.9. I can install that perfectly by itself. If I add hstwb package for the boot menu and/or eab whdload games with menu the OS gets corrupted (V44 missing) or the boot menu does not get installed properly and doesn't come up. Tried with and without betterwb. It's like the only way to install the boot menu with basic hstwb and eabwhdload is to use WB 3.10. Is there a way to get it working? I couldn't find anything in the tutorials about the 3.9 install being this much trouble. If I install it after everything then the boot menu is gone again too and the installer won't install the boot menu without an OS selected. Also is the boot menu part of hstwb or eab-games loader? Looks to be part of hstwb.

HstWB and BetterWB packages are only compatible with AmigaOS 3.1 and doesn't work together with Amiga OS 3.9. You can install EAB WHDLoad Demos or Games menu packages in any AmigaOS, which will can be started from Workbench folder HstWB giving AGS2 and iGame. The boot menu is only present in HstWB package, but I have thought about splitting boot menu out, so it will work with any AmigaOS
