Icon Library missing when installing Amiga OS 3.2 or 3.2.1 #61

3.2.1 Kickstart installed

If installing hstWB with 3.2 or 3.2.1 an error will come up about a missing icon library when booting workbench.

The solution is to insert the 3.2/3.2.1 Modules disk and then copy the icon library from that disk to libs:

I will look into the issue and make a fix for next release.

I can't reproduce this issue. Can you please describe in detail, how to reproduce the issue?

HVR88 commented 1 year ago

There's not much to describe, besides following the on-screen prompts.

• set the required 3.2 and 3.2.1 adf files in their appropriate folders • set all the required kickstart files in their folders • run the setup script, using 8 GB hstWB image • load A500 (for example) WinUAE setup file • start emulation to start installation process • select WB 3.2/3.2.1 installation option • select defaults for everything (from memory, I believe I tried both skip and install modules) • when everything finished, boot the image and the icon library message pops up

I was able to reproduce. In fact there is nothing I can do to get it to use the proper LIBS/icon. library.

Included a screen shot.

I tried reproducing the error, but I didn't succeed.

For testing I used 4GB HstWB self install HDF image v1.6.3 and WinUAE v4.9.1 64-bit on Windows 10.

Ran hstwb_image_setup_patch_only.cmd to only update paths in WinUAE and FS-UAE config files.

Started WinUAE with config file hstwb-installer_a500.uae.

Selected:

Amiga OS 3.2.1 boots without any icon.library issue.

Did also verify Kickstart 3.2.1 rom is used (set by running hstwb_image_setup_patch_only.cmd).

I need more details about files used and exact steps to reproduce.

I have this same missing icon.library problem trying to install with OS3.2 ROMs on my A4000 with WarpEngine060.
