Seems to not work on MBP running High Sierra #5

On my brand-new MacBook Pro 15 running macOS 10.13.6, it just opens a window showing the current score, which rises as you hear the game sounds. However, the touch bar stays showing its usual display.

I just tried another touch bar game, Touch Bar Piano. I tried this before on this machine, and it worked well, but now it also does nothing. Seems like there's some conflict with my machine. Again, happy to provide more info if you're interested.

And I figured it out. If I configure my Touch Bar to show either App Controls or App Controls with Control Strip, then everything works. But, if I configure it to show function keys, or Expanded Control Strip, then nothing appears. Perhaps this is obvious; it would be nice if the code could detect it and complain (as I am here complaining about a free game...)
