6.0.2 vem does not work #30

hey, i just downloaded vem and installed as i did before, but it seems not enabled ingame, because /vem command not work and i dont see it in the interface options.

on the login screen in section addons it shows me that vem is loaded fine.

Ensure that you don´t put the -master folder into the wow/interface/addons folter. The subfolders (VEM-Core; VEM-GUI; ... ) inside the -master must be used

thats what ive did. i still cant get it to work.

Same here. I unziped all subfolders in *master into -wow-/interface/addons (16 subfolders from VEM-Brawlers to VEM-WorldEvents). WoW then told me the proving grounds module was not up to date and all the others were fine but no /vem-command worked.

Command not work because gui is out of date? Ennnnnnnnnnnnmmmmmmnnn.

Did "Load out of date Addons" ... /vem still not working.

If vem is loaded for the actual char (loadable when logged in since 6.0.2 too) and /vem does not work, only a lua error can be the source. If u don´t get one, there must happen something wrong at install/copy time and it will be best you cleanup the folder and retry the install. Or wait until a release is on curse ;)

Thanks @trueleader . The prior version works for me anyway, so will eagerly wait for the curse version. :)

Hi guys actually I have another repo, which is a patch to the DBM 6.0. This patch works well in SOO and WOD mod but use different api to the VEM, which uses old DBM api.

Did a clean install of VEM, /vem still does nothing, hope it get fixed :)

Tested a installation of the actual package: It creates a lua error at startup Just created a pull request to fix them

Thanks trueleader. Merged. Is it good for a release or still issues remaining?

We already raided myth with version before MiniDragons core. A few had problems loading VEM, but also for DBM. None of them could tell anything about lua errors and don´t let me do a remote session to inspect their installation :/ If a few has still problems with this version they could create new issues. I think VEM for most people is better than VEM for noone :D
