App version

3.8.1

Problem you are trying to solve

I found this program with the goal to restrict windows from sucking out my mobile(phone) data when I use its internet with the pc. The problem is that I do not know which should have internet denied and which shouldn't. The program starts with all program excluded from internet. Now i can move a bit in the app. BUT everytime i use a new app, new kinds of program updates, installations that require internet, or some other secondary program... there is always a problem, and I have to manually give them internet. All sort of .exe pop up. So it would be better to work in reverse, block internet only to the unwanted programs.

Suggested solution

I would like ready-made profiles in the program itself. Each of them should have a set goal in mind. In my case it would be useful a profile to only ban internet from known useless windows program and services, and some specific rules here and there. For example I found out that setting a rule to block inbound traffic of "svhost.exe" helps a lot. There are also services and programs of knows browsers that the moment you give them internet they start sucking away internet to update every single time.

This is just a little example how ready-made profile could help users more.

Id like to modify and extend this Feat.req. to option for on the fly profiles switching, i.e. we dont need permanent access to Inet for Java , Android emulators, Steam etc... (you name your apps we you use occasionaly), if I should create standalone issue it`s ok
