Not experiencing this for a long time, earlier there was some problem but was fixed. I would suggest you to reinstall simplewall, try just older release like 2.3.11 so that you can check if update is working for you. Then report back. [Remember to have settings and rules backup, if you want]

Whenever simplewall notifies me that a new version is available I can click "ok" to download. However, when applying the update I get a message "simplewall is running. Please close it before you continue." "Abort, Retry, Ignore". Then I have to manually close simplewall, retry the update and start simplewall manually again. It would be nice if the updater could automatically close the process, apply the update and restart the program.
