I tried to use a network drive to back up over FTP. I have a lot of data to back up, so I can't do the initial backup in one round. I thought this won't be a problem, but it is. When I try to continue the backup process, duplicity deletes everything from the backup directory and starts over, although multiple gigabytes have already been copied. Maybe this is how initial backup works, maybe it's a bug. Either way, it is horrible, and this makes me look for other solutions.
Just for the record:
Duplicati isn't doing this, if the local DB is good. Run "repair database" before backing up, and no harm will be done.
