Melissa told me that "You’ll need to reach out to Health Services regarding the vaccinations. I’m not sure if any are required."
If you have any informations about it, please update here, thanks. :)
Also on the same note, per the information from the Webinar on 04/09/2021, it seems no COVID-19 vaccine of any kind is required by Rice (screen shot from group chat). Although there might be a custom policy if flights may resume.
Note that although no COVID-19 vaccine is required, there are some requirements on "common vaccines" (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) — more on this here.
From @Susie0731 in #15 :
Me: I am writing to inquire the COVID-19 vaccinations and related policies at Rice. I wonder if I can take the COVID-19 vaccinations (CHO cells) in China before arriving at Rice. I know that some Universities in the United States ask the international students to take one of the only three recognized vaccines, namely the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. I am not sure if Rice also asks the international students to take one of these three vaccines?
CMT Vaccine: You will be allowed to take any vaccine available to you in your home country.
Is it okay that I take a Chinese brand of vaccine 14 days from tomorrow? Or is there any brand and taken time recommended?
