7 years ago Mark, might the silver lining whence you extract stuff from the cloud be lagging behind what one can obtain directly from GitHUb? That would explain a lot.

I am unable to duplicate your symptoms on Debian 8.6 64-bit using the current commit of Hercules v4. I also am unable to find the incorrect code you describe in the various versions of configure.ac from 20 Dec forward. Can you provide a line number in configure, or better, attach your configure.ac and configure here if the issue still exists.

In doing a test build tonight from scratch, found that configure checks for ../sf3h/softfloat_types.h, but 1Stop placed the header in ../x86_64/s3fh/include/softfloat_types.h. configure must be able to function properly WITHOUT DoConfigure being the only invoking method.
