a delay between the actual location on the map in Nav #402

I am facing a delay between the actual location on the map and the real location on the ground This delay does not exist in the official here wego app and wasn't present in the past. This delay also exists in msdkui android app compiled with the latest here lib 3.16.2_101.

the same behavior as the quote below by @fadijabi

is this problem reintroduced in the latest builds? is any other else experience this delay ?


Hello Nazar,

We are facing a similar issue also for both platforms iOS and Android. A screen record will not help here because you need someone to record the location on the map and then quickly show you the actual location. For both iOS and Android, there is a slight a delay between the actual location on the map and real location on the ground. For example, many people are missing the turn because on the map they see themselves behind the turn (because of the delay) where actually they already passed it in real life thinking that it is the next turn and it reroutes accordingly confusing the user.

It is noticeable in small neighborhoods with many different turns and directions and when the car moving in higher speeds comparing to the speed limit.

When comparing to Google Maps on the same device for example, Google Maps is behaving normally and drawing my location in sync with real life location.

Please let us know if it is reproducible and if there is any quick fix.

Hi @515orestis In 3.18 we are adding option to choose different positioning matcher algorithm. It should fix this problem.

Hi @NazarKacharaba its time for us to update our app so I am going to test v3.18 is this option added to our lib? can you guide me on how to change the positioning matcher algorithm or provide me the link?

Hello, have you got an update about that issue so far? I am experiencing a very similar issue - when running in navigation mode (tracking - not a simulation) at some points the marker is some meters away from the matched position. so the orientation is also not correct for that time of amount. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm facing the same issue, reported to Here almost 3 years ago, no improvements ware made as I'm testing with current SDK (3.20.2.67). We sent video examples comparing Here Android Premium SDK and Here WeGo application from the Play Store on same device:
