Force python 3 with trove classifers + python_requires #37

If users are leveraging modern pip/setuptools, this will warn them and fail to install on python2.

fixes #24
adding other versions of python 3 to Travis testing
updating pipfile for modern versions of underlying requirements
small quality of life fix for VS Code users

I'm not sure how valuable figuring out and fixing the 3.4 failure is, given that it wasn't tested before, and will be end of life in March 2019. Any comments from maintainers?
