+1 Is there any chance for a Canadian region for Standard/Performance dyno ?
it would be great to have a Canadian region!
Hey @raphjutras - thanks for submitting this issue. So, we’ve started laying the foundation for Heroku Canada Regions. We’re starting with the single-tenant Private Spaces product and gearing up for a limited release of the Montreal region very soon. I saw you originally started that discussion in the PS roadmap item here..
For the ideal state, we’d like to have regional parity across all Heroku products and all regions (currently there are more regions for PS than Common Runtime today already).
In terms of sequence, there’s an overlap of the regional infrastructure needed for the common runtime that is dependent on our single-tenant runtime. This is why we started with Private Spaces. Also, there are several platform improvements for the common runtime underway that we’re prioritizing before we start expanding into new regions. I don’t have a timeline for you yet, but our engineering and product teams are eager to accomplish full regional parity across the platform.
I’m not sure if its compatible for your business model, but if you’re eager to start running Heroku in Canada, please checkout the Private Spaces product in the next few weeks to see how you could start running dynos and data in Montreal.
@elimchaysengSF thanks for the attention.
I had seen in this post https://github.com/heroku/roadmap/issues/98 that a Canadian region would be soon available for Private space and this really sparked hope that we could also see it in Common runtimes.
Unfortunately, Private space + enterprise subscription is just out of our price range.
I will keep a close eye on the roadmap!
Thank you!

Hello,
Are there any plans to make a region available in Canada for the "Public/Common Runtime", specifically for your Canadian clients?
As a startup, we are unable to afford enterprise plans and will be compelled to move our infrastructure to a different provider because our clients require that their data be hosted in Canada due to laws. We LOVE Heroku for its simplicity and it will be a hassle to switch to another provider. However, we have no other option but to do so :(
Canada (Montreal) region will be vital to our company in the next year.
The market in Canada is substantial and I think it should not be ignored. The restrictions on data storage are becoming more and more stringent, and unfortunately, there are currently no affordable solutions available to us.
I am convinced that we are not the only ones experiencing these regional problems, and that all of your Canadian customers would be very interested in having a region served by Heroku.
Thank you
