Common runtime

Tell us about what you're trying to solve. What challenges are you facing?

Now as payment support is live in India, it would be amazing to see support of common runtime from India (near to India). Right now we face slower response times due to the geographical constraints.

@friism Is there any update on adding Mumbai, India, to the common runtime Region support? In the private space, the Mumbai, India region is feasible while creating new heroku apps.

@elimchaysengSF any updates on this query. I can see Europe and United States are available in common runtime , whereas for the private space, I can see asia-pacific regions are listed. When Mumbai, India region will be added to the common runtime. It will be helpful if any ETA can be provided. Thanks in advance.

Hi both - thanks for opening this issue. Following enabling Mumbai for Private Spaces last year, we are also very interested in bringing parity to the common runtime. Our ultimate goal is to offer as many regions as possible across all dynos. I have been sourcing feedback specifically for new regions in Common runtime in this roadmap item here: https://github.com/heroku/roadmap/issues/195

I'll be tying this open issue as another data point to the main roadmap item.

Right now we don't have an expected timeline, but I'll be posting updates as we continue to gather data to increase the priority.
