Improved Static Site/Static Web App support

Heroku is working on improving our support for Static Sites (aka Static Web Apps [SWAs])! While Heroku supports developing and deploying HTML/CSS/Javascript apps for the web, we can do even better to support them, and the associated ecosystems!

As part of this effort, in addition to ensuring that the core Heroku experience remains magical, we're exploring improved integration of Static Sites with CDNs, Heroku Pipelines, and more.

What would you like to see in this space? How can we make the experience of developing static web apps better for you?

I would like a zero config approach for modern JS frameworks like Next.js, Remix, Astro, Svelte, Vue, Angular, React, etc.

Basically something that looks like:

• npx command-to-generate-project project-name
• cd project-name
• heroku create
• git push heroku main
• It works 🎉
• profit $
