What service(s) is this request for?

Tell us about what you're trying to solve. What challenges are you facing?

I would like to have a carbon footprint tool to move us to be carbon neutral.

Amazon has a carbon footprint tool (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/new-customer-carbon-footprint-tool/).

It would be great to have the same overview on apps and addons on heroku.

Also I think heroku us is on us-east-1 which is not the carbon neutral(https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/reports/click-clean-virginia/). How does heroku align this with salesforce pledge ? https://www.salesforce.com/company/sustainability/

Thank you @ombr for logging this enhancement request. I understand the importance of carbon traceability and footprint to run your application. This has not been added to our roadmap yet, but this is an area we can all benefit by having such tool. We will consider this likely in 2025 to begin the research.
