Some code parts in the I2C sensor code are not sign safe, eeprom code need a 
minor change. See

It would be fine if you add the changes now to the current code base, as only a 
few lines are changed. The changed are fully compatible to the AVR code and do 
not change the AVR code size. The 3.0 software is probably far away. I released 
the code two month ago to avoid adding the changes to the further releases each 
time.
