Not working for web installation either:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.apps.chrometophone
Quoted from the Project Summary:
> Update (15th Sep 2010): Chrome to Phone 2.1 is now available on Chrome
Extension Gallery and Android Market in multiple countries.
Sorry this is not really true...
Please enable the app to other countries, it's just a few clicks in the Market
developer site...
And how come all the APK downloads in here become depreciated too?
how can people in those countries download this app?

guys, there's something seriously fishy going on here and I think that if there
won't be a coherent official reaction soon this will make the headlines.
what's with all this b***t?
translation?
really? the phone I am using right now (Google phone) doesn't have a dictionary
for my language. this didn't make it "unavailable" for me (420 euros, thank
you). none of the apps I installed have translations in my language (not that I
care). ultimately, what is there to translate? "send this link to my phone"?
yeah.. right
legal agreement with countries?
seriously? does this app do something else than push a link? what legal
agreement? I could see an issue talking about communist/totalitarian
countries.. but NL, CH, RO, GR, HU? come on!
sorry if my tone was a bit high, but I hope you get my frustration (there have
been stronger words thrown around here, though -- at least I didn't get there)

What kind of bs reason is "not releasing because it's not translated"? Really,
95% of all apps in the android market are not translated, yet that doesn't stop
anyone from using them. Really, good job promoting one of the features of
froyo, good job! God only know how long I'm gonna have to wait until you
translate it to my obscure language.
Oh, and good job removing the apk from the download section as well.

This is a fork from Chrome To Phone available in all countries:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.wiirecords.chrometophone
Its main feature is to be able to process links virtually anyway you want it:
* download anything to your phone, instead of just opening the link
* convert file to other formats (i.e. send a bmp link, convert it to jpg and
then download it)
* apply wallpapers/ringtones (i.e. send an image link and apply it as wallpaper)
* open specific apps (i.e. send an appbrain link and open android market
automatically)
* more and more!

Its NOT about country issue, its about Android version... You need 2.2 or more!
I wrote about the same issue, but since I discovered the origin of the issue I
insist they should make Chrome to Phone for older versions of Android!!! I am
really pissed off, because when that app was released 2.1 wasn't all that old
and I have just bought my phone HTC legend, its a great phone and it should
have that feature!!!
Original comment by CoconutC...@gmail.com

It is a country issue. I got an nexus s with 2.3.4 and I'm not able to see it
in the market. If I try to install it from web interface of market it say "this
item cannot be instaled in your device's country". And tbh I don't think its an
language issue too. Probably more like an legal one...
Original comment by liviu.f....@gmail.com
on 5 Jul 2011 at 9:51
Well, maybe for some its a country issue, but I don't see how its because of
legal issues, it really shouldn't be... They still need to make it for older
versions of Android, I refuse to install any replacements from other developers!
