App not found on market #264

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Market
2. Search for "chrome to phone"
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected to find the app. Found 18 apps, including things like ChromeMarks,
Alarm to Phone and Android to Cloud but no chrome to phone app (unless it has
an unintuitive title)

Alternate Steps:
1. Go to market
2. Search for pname:com.google.android.apps.chrometophone

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected to find the app. Got a message saying "There are no matches in
Android Market for the search: pname:com.google.android.apps.chrometophone" and
several suggestions on how to alter the search.

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

SPH-D700 ECLAIR.DI18

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?

Mobile network.

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?

Yes.

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

It opens and I can see my contacts. I've never used it before, but it seems to
work properly.

Please provide any additional information below.

If you have access to appbrain.com, install a application called AppBrain Fast
Web Installer. Get that app running up on your phone, than go appbrain.com in
your phone browser and search for Chrome to Phone click install when you find
it.

If you are redirected to the Market, than the Fast Web Installer is not working
correctly, try turning it on again.

If it works correctly you should bee seeing a download arrow on the top
statusbar.

I have an rooted android phone, I'm not sure if this works on a unrooted phone,
like a phone with the out of the box android ROM.

Chrome to Phone is powered by the Android Cloud to Device Messaging (C2DM)
service, which requires Android 2.2 or later. Since the build number of your
phone includes the string "ECLAIR" I would think that means you don't have
Android 2.2

As MatrixFog said, this feature requires Android 2.2
