The new version (v2.3.0) sends Chinese characters as a scrambled text. #323

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Send a website that has Chinese in the title. e.g. 
http://maps.google.com.tw/, with Chrome extension version v2.3.0 on Chrome 
11.0.696.68.
2. Nexus S with v2.2.0 Chrome to Phone apps receives the link correctly.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Chinese characters to be displayed correctly on the phone (N.B. it was working 
fine on previous version of the Chrome extension, the phone app version was the 
same). Instead, Chinese characters in the title are scrambled text.

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?
Yes, WiFi. No problem with outgoing connection. Phone can receive the link 
correctly.

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?
Yes, when automatic sync is on, I would get new mail notifications.

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

Have the exact same problem here on my Nexus One, and it only shows up around 
2~3 weeks ago, it was working perfectly before.

Same issue on my N1, Asian characters becomes garbage!
