Failed to Resign the Package: FileIO: Error opening the file, Read only filesystem #44

I keep getting this error while trying to resign a game save. Am I doing something wrong that I need to correct or is this an issue?

This is most likely an issue with your user permissions. You must not be able to edit the file that you're trying to open. If you're only linux or mac, try running Velocity as a root user. If you're on Windows, then I'm really not sure. You can try running it as an administrator, but I don't think that will fix it. If you're not an admin, then that may be the problem.

I have tried this and it doesnt work same error message each time i rehash and resign plz look into the problem as this is the easiest way to mod on mac but it doesnt work file read only

Experienced the same thing, it was permissions related issue. Make sure your file system and the file are both readable and writable by you and your group. I propose to close this issue as wontfix.

You have to open the .dmg file, open your finder and drag the velocity icon from the .dmg window into to applications folder.

lol i had the same problem try putting it in the application folder
